At the machines

Slot machines accept banknotes and printed tickets through the same slot, and the value shows immediately as credits on that cabinet. The denomination — what one credit is worth — is printed on the machine, and it is the number that decides how fast a budget moves. A machine at a higher denomination will consume the same amount of money in a fraction of the time.

When you finish, press cash out and the machine prints a ticket for the remaining value. That ticket can go straight into the next machine or to the cash desk; it is explained on Cashing out. Do not leave a machine with credits still on it — the value belongs to whoever presses the button next.

At the tables

Buying in at a table follows a fixed etiquette. Wait for the hand or spin to finish, place your notes flat on the layout rather than into the dealer's hand, and wait while the amount is counted for the cameras. The dealer then pushes chips across. Chips are venue property and are exchanged for cash at the desk, not at another table.

Check the sign before you sit: it carries the minimum and maximum for that table, and both change through the day as the 11-table pit fills. The Salon Prive section exists for players who want higher limits away from the main floor. If the minimum at every open table is above your budget, the machine floor is the sensible answer rather than a stretch.

Buying in, step by step

1. Decide the amount for this session and keep the rest out of reach.
2. Insert the Winners Circle card first if you want the play recorded.
3. At a machine: feed in the note or ticket and check the credit total on screen.
4. At a table: wait for the round to end, place the cash flat on the layout and wait for chips.
5. Check the machine denomination or the table sign so you know what each unit costs.
6. Press cash out and take the ticket when you are done, before moving on.

Nothing is stored for a next visit: a casino floor has no account balance.
